Just watched the Senegal/Egypt match. Absolutely disgusting! Lasers shined in all the Egyptian players faces including the goalkeepers during the shootout. I’m a neutral but Fifa has to do something about this.

There were accusations of racism towards the Egyptians who were met by a raucous and somewhat unwelcoming crowd upon arrival to the stadium, according to BBC.

The lasers incident was pretty insane if you watch footage but think it is one of several, separate incidents being all clubbed together as a news-story regarding the Egypt teams grievances at the match.

This is the most common sense suggestion so far. How this games result can stand is completely beyond me. Maybe my racism suggestion was a bit much but there seems to be a degree of unfairness here as we can well expect nothing to be done in this situation by Fifa.

It probably looked worse than it actually was . Non of the players complained about the lights during or after the match . It was only when they were shown what the cameras picked up that there was some moaning .

I dont know anything about these light pens but Im sure if your about to take a penalty and lots of lights start flashing in your eyes you would stop and tell the ref you aint taking it
