ive said it more than once, imo he WONT move north of Watford, for family reasons...

he has 2 young children, soon to be married and adores his parents

imo the only club he couldve joined have already failed with a bid, i dont see that changing, personally i see him signing a new contract (with release clause) and him seeing out his career at CP

he more than anyone else will know whats happening behind the scenes, will know the clubs future plans and will want to be a part of it

I'd be absolutely shocked if we sold Zaha, or rather in someone out there wanted to pay what we'd want for him.

As others have said his best days are behind him, but thanks to Doughie etc he's now able to play amongst genuinely exciting young talent to help take the burden off him, and in effect extend his career by another 5 years at Palace.

As per other threads, if the big boys come circling it's much more likely to be for Olise and to a lesser extent Eze.

I have honestly in recent memory never seen Zaha so happy playing football! Even his petulant behavior has calmed lately!

You could see Wilf's frustration last season (and before) as Palace never added other threatening attacking players, so he got constantly fouled and had nobody to create goal scoring opportunities. He was also asked to contribute to Roy's defensive approach, which certainly didn't help.

This has now patently changed, so we all hope Wilf will be happy with developments and be happy to stay longer and to maintain the great form he's been in this season.

Don't forget that Man Utd will receive 25% of any transfer fee we get for Wilf.

It is unlikely that fee will be enough to compensate for his loss and so I hope we get him to agree a contract extension and up his salary a bit to encourage him to stay.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder to find someone older than me.

Today went as I, and I'd imagine most, expected it likely would. Good day out, big vocal support, ultimately Chelsea end up in the final.

Losing a game of that importance as a player is disappointing, plus
the 90 minutes not going as you would have wanted on a personal level. I can understand that you'd want to get out of the spotlight and that it's easier to walk straight off when you're following an experienced player's example. As the youngest of the group, I can overlook Olise following Wilf off, and I suspect he'll thank Vieira for making the deliberate act of turning him around and sending him back on.

Vieira didn't intercept Wilf, probably because Wilf is old enough to make his own mind up. He didn't have his best game, Afcon didn't go as he'd have wanted, it's a trophyless season again, but the guy is 29 now and one of the supposed leaders in the group.

Yes, in the grand scheme of things what one guy does at full time makes minimal difference to the day, but what if the whole team had done what we did? It would have looked ridiculous, right?

Maybe there's something going on in the background in his private life that explains it away. Maybe this is his last season with us. If it's just disappointment and a, somewhat petulant, response to the way the game went then that concerns me because it suggests his head still isn't where it needs to be as a senior figure in this team, one that puts the team above the individual (Spurs away springs to mind). Hughes didn't make the squad, Gallagher was ineligible, Kelly's had minimal minutes - they all act as part of the group today.

Wilf's been back in great form recently, so disappointed that he's taken a step back today.

Sounds just like Twi**er

I didnít go but heard about this from a mate. It really pisses me off as he did the same thing away at Leeds which really grated on me after my 4.5 hour drive and taking two days off work. It shows such little respect to the fans who spend a lot of their hard earned money travelling the country to support the team. It doesnít take much to clap the fans for 30 seconds but it goes a long way. Heís so detached from the real world.

Heís missed his chance to join a big club, so I expect heíll sign a new contract. If he wants to realise his Champions League dream heíll need to move overseas and I donít think heís got that in him. Iíve heard heís sold his house on the Webb Estate so make of that what you will.

It'd be a shame if he makes a move now that he seems happy playing. He's not getting any younger, and he's appreciated and settled here; I'm not convinced he'll want to start again elsewhere.

I dont see any club matching our valuation of what he is worth or matching his wages, so on that level the best thing he can do is sign another contract & play or refuse to sign & leave on a free using any new club signing on fee as a windfall.

Just a question - if he runs his contract down & leaves on a free do Man Utd get 25% of his signing on fee ? (wherever he goes next)
