Yates in town is normally a designated home pub, Spoons on London Road - The Giddy Bridge (top end of town) and the one on the High Street (The Standing Order) let both in, as does the Spoons down Ocean Village. Avoid Bedford Place as the bars there do not let away fans in as a rule but even on non match day those are usually bellends bars of choice.

If you can get off a train at St Denys, there's the SouthWestern and the Junction. Both lovely pubs with good ale, food, gardens. Good locals, no trouble. Then follow everyone walking down the Itchen beach to the ground..15/20 minutes.

Not a football pub but great beers at the Dancing Man Brewery in a historic old building

The Spoons by the Harbour was perfect £2.10 a pint, sun shining and even Steve Parish did a drive past. Cracking away day.
