Stockport and Wrexham have been getting attendances that must be the envy of many League 2, and some League 1, clubs.

It is a hard one to call, because although Stockport have a game in hand, their recent form has not been at all good, with one win and four defeats in their last five games, whereas Wrexham's last five games achieved four wins and a draw.

I wouldn't mind Wrexham going up, though. Although Stockport allowing us to win that fateful game was very good of them, I feel Wrexham done us an even bigger favour in the old Division 3 in the 1976-77 season by losing their last 2 games, both at home. The first to Palace, which was our last game of the season, and then kindly losing to Mansfield Town. They had been unbeaten at home all season until Palace and Mansfield came to visit

Indeed, I’ve been to Wrexham and Stockport away with Palace, not the most pleasant of northern outposts, but I have got a 100% win record at both
