Boris now 6/4 to go this year once again. It appears to suggest that a Confidence Vote is looking reasonably likely. I'd think he'd be reasonably likely to survive such a vote, but who knows.. and mayabe it coming to that would lead to him walking away anyway.

There does seem to be another push developing. Makes me wonder what else could be in the pipeline because Cummings is on the offensive again and clearly has it in for Carrie, big time along with The Times running a negative story about her today as well.

But given my previous predictions for his demise have been proven hollow, probably best I step away from this one. Johnson is pure political teflon.

Still fingers crossed.

It was interesting timing with the negative Carrie story because she has been pushed well out of the lime-light of late. But I suspect Cummings has something on her over the 'Abba' party.

Perhaps Johnson will be felled not by what he has done but rather one of his floozies? Poetic justice in that I think given how terribly he has treated his ex-wives.

Let"s hope so- we need to move on-after his exit!

How has BJ possibly not breached the ministerial code, I guess that is now dead in the water anyway thanks to him rendering it useless in order to continue as PM.

It's amazing how many people still do not get it.

I guess they voted for him in large numbers and cannot face being wrong, it's not as if his personality was not well known.

It is quite unbelievable how far we have sunk in the world and as you say people can not just admit it, still clinging on to the one thing, or one of a dozen including the whole cabinet, who are dragging us further down - never to recover i fear!

Yes I honestly thought he was more in the clear than ever, but maybe he's just so cavalier about, and attempting to insolate himself from future criticisms that many MPs view now as the time to act. I doubt their inboxes have been pretty and this looks to be a final big push, so it will be interesting to see if its enough. It definitely, as you say, does make you wonder what else is left to come out. There may well be no viable opposition, but that doesn't mean that a substantial number of people aren't also sick of Boris.. He could go, but as you say he's adept at hanging on in there.

Ok EDN hereís a scenario. Iíve got RA medically proven and am on medication for it. I know I could limp a bit and keep going to the quacks and within 2 years be on benefits with a 40 k car. That easy. I wonít though as my moral compass forbids it. Plenty do and Iím related to one of them the scheming caniving no good ****
That easy for anyone but until these people are found we are all fecked and skint. CP will no doubt give us the 47 B but thatís a pittance to whatís stolen every year with tax and benefits. I take no pleasure in seeing people struggle and stress and will, have and do help when asked and am in a position to.
If everyone did this country would be a much better place.
Amen and helle f*****g yulla

Your anger is entirely misplaced through decades of being fed sh*t by the tabloids.

If you think fraudulent benefit claims (of which there are some) exceed £47 billion a year, I really don't know what to tell you. You're living in cuckoo land.

If you want to keep an eye on the direction of this government watch what Tobias Ellwood says and does rather than the prime minister.

I suspect moves are being made to replace Johnson with Jeremy Hunt. Another shady character.

He has been touted as a potential leader although I don't get why. He is an electoral liability as he is damaged goods and not just over the affair, nobody who works in the NHS has a good word for him. I don't see the red wall voting for him.

I would have said Sunak is the leader in waiting but he is also damaged. At the moment I cannot see an obvious replacement who would do better than Johnson at the next GE and this might be the reason he survives.

Well he is not just another tory brexit dummy, he is advocating rejoining the EU single market.

Interesting to think both Starmer and Boris could be done in a couple of months. Probably won't be, but it's not all that unlikely. Shake up time.
