Danjuma was one of those players for me, a bit like Duelofeu, who I thought looked like a 'dangerous' winger and genuinely surprised there wasn't more interest in him. That's only through limited experience/insight however so I could very well be wrong.

At £27mil, I think perhaps he would not justify or fit into our general transfer approach these days. Post Wilf leaving perhaps a panicked, bigger money buy might happen but not now. Good luck to him at Spuds outside of playing against Palace and not massively fussed at this stage though would be happy with anyone coming in.

The prophecies of a 'busy deadline day' are familiar for me so I hold no great hope if any whatsoever. I won't ridicule the suggestion entirely but if we get even two, let alone more, players coming in I will be very, very genuinely shocked.

Is it just me but as everyday passes I am getting more convinced that we will end up getting no one.

Leaving it to the last day of the winter transfer window plays into the hands of the selling club. They will know we are now desperate and if they have no need to sell, then the price will go up. Summer window isn't as bad as there is the fallback of the winter window, but if a club doesn't get it right in the winter window then the consequences are potentially worse.

If there was been internal squabbling between the owners over money for transfers then the impasse will have cost them.

I would imagine that he has got someone working for him handling his social media, at least inviting further correspondence & opinions -obviously it remains to be seen how much notice anyone takes notice of whatever gets submitted into that inbox but at least its a conduit into the conversation -
