With the players that we already have and expected how do you think that our 1st choice midfield will be and who do we need to release.

So, off the top of my head , we got Shclupp, McArthur, Olise,Eze. ,Hughes,Kouyate,Milo and we are supposedly in for more midfield. So, do we need to transfer out midfielders as we recruit.

If Vieira could get rid of Luca, Jairo, Jimmy Mac and Kouyate with a click of his fingers I'm sure he would - he may even be regretting signing Will Hughes - he would like to replace them with Doucoure, Morgan wotsisname from Wolves, Perreira, Downes and Aribo - that's his end game imho, but it might take a window or two more to get there. Our midfield has been living on borrowed time for several seasons, Gallagher papered over the cracks last season - I reckon PV wud only keep Shlupp from what we have, Kouyate is persona non grata - this will be Jimmy Mac's last season for us, and he'll be used as a squad player like Ayew or Kouyate, useful to keep him while we're in transition, but in an ideal world he'd be replaced.

Not sure I agree with previous comment about Patrick wanting rid of him. "It's ok postman , he'll lick you to death" "That isn't really that comforting , I still end up dead !!"

We definitely need three midfielders unless we're expecting Schlupp, Jimmy Mac, Jairo and Luka to do it. That's a relegation midfield frankly. Three is almost the minimum required. I was hoping Kouyate would renew for this very reason. Am I forgetting someone? Eze too I guess. Red and Blue Army!

We definitely need three midfielders unless we're expecting Schlupp, Jimmy Mac, Jairo and Luka to do it. That's a relegation midfield frankly. Three is almost the minimum required. I was hoping Kouyate would renew for this very reason. Am I forgetting someone? Eze too I guess.
