Sadly, he died. It was covered in a thread a while ago. I'll have a look for it, but I suspect someone else will be cleverer and quicker than me.

There wasn't an actual thread, his absence was mentioned in a thread, and it was explained that he had died very unexpectedly. The family were asked for permission to post a memorial thread for him, but, sadly, they didn't reply and Guntri, the Webmaster, decided that discretion would be the better option. A sad loss both as a poster and a moderator.

He lived near me too, Barnehurst, I wasn't far from him, looking at his profile, he stopped posting in March 2020, hopefully it wasn't covid. Sadly missed. Rip Bexleydave.

I was bumping up one of my own threads about 3 at the back and he told me to stop posting b4 I lost any more dignity - I miss his rudeness. I told him he would regret his frankness one day - not that long after he accused another poster of only going to a 'red brick' university and got mercilessly slaughtered on a grand scale

. He was a moderator and a Palace stalwart, a cranky so and so at times but good value and it is a sadness he is no longer with us. RIP
