one of my least favourite words is 'robust'. 'And' and 'the' used to give Derek and Clive the horn. I've always had a soft spot for 'buttocks' but please don't read too much into that.

The etymology of most words is fascinating.

Venus & aphrodite....Latin & Greek names for the same goddess.

An aphrodisiac is something sexy & cool. A venereal disease....not so much.

The latter may be reminiscent of a shambles.
