Schlupp's improvement under PV

Always thought his positional sense was shocking and he could only play as an attacking left sided midfielder, bursting through the lines. He knew what was going on in front of him, but couldn't tell what was happening behind him and would get lost or overlap on the wrong side. Now he pops up everywhere a la Kouyate - and played a peach of a pass for Edouard the other night at Oxford. Seems PV is improving the players individually as well as collectively - Schlupp's positional play is a transformation from how he was before imho.

I definitely think he is better than he was, but he's not great tactically or positionally. But nor is that his job under PV. He always has been great physically, and that's what PV is using him for. CD is a better more composed version of CK, EE is a more technically gifted than CG, so IMO JS's role is to provide the energy that we've lost with CG's departure.
