Bournemouth have done a 'De Boer' and got rid of him after four games. I know they let in 9 against Liverpool (didn't someone else twenty odd years ago?) but yet another example of the short termism professional football is.

Something of a panic reaction. Southampton were dished out 9-0 defeats in consecutive seasons but didn't sack their manager.

And Bournemouth aren’t bottom, they’ve had one win. They’re at home to Wolves tomorrow so why couldn’t they wait & see what happens. Just panic

Trivial fact - Palace used to win 5-1 at least once a season, maybe next season?

Presumably it's not just about results. 9-0 is obviously embarrassing but they've taken 3 points out of Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City and Villa. Not exactly terrible.

Stevie G is next on the chopping block according to the rumour mill.

The Bournemouth owner has talked about running the club "Sustainably".
Their Net Spend this season has been circa £25 Mill which is paltry in PL terms.

Scott Parker looked totally shell-shocked interviewed after the 9-0 debacle and mentioned that they need help, inferring new players need to be brought to the club.Perhaps Bournemouth are not prepared to lavish significant amounts and there could have been tensions behind the scenes.

Typical when you get everything else wrong , sack the manager that got you to a higher level , at least it looks like you have done something.
They probably need a Shaun Dyche, but does he need them? As what can they give him they couldn’t give Parker?

Part of club statement,

'unconditional that we are aligned in our strategy to run this club sustainably'

Can't believe Parker didn't know what he was signing up to. Norwich also a yoyo club but at least not a debt ridden, administration threatened one. Well done to the Bournemouth owners for putting their club's future first.

Surely he'll wait for a club that has a bit more chance of staying up, and at least a little cash to let him spend.

As stated earlier, same fixtures as us and only 1 point less.

With the lack of spend, the owners must realise they are highly likely to go down and if they wish to be sustainable then they are probably a League 1 side.

Would have thought he had another couple of games to see how it panned out.
