Remember it well, Willo. Bunty James, Jack Hargreaves and Jon Miller.

I believe that Jack Hargreaves was a creator of the programme.

Sounds right. Jack Hargreaves would describe some arcane piece of farm machinery, Jon Miller would demonstrate how a nuclear power plant works then Fred Dineage would do a trick with matchsticks. Don't remember Bunty James' contribution.

That was Love Thy Neighbour.

You're probably right. But you got my drift I hope. Winston (Marigold) definately used derogatory terms though I'm sure. It was all part of the times.

As a kid loved Its A Knockout, especially the International ones - Jeux sans frontières. Stuart Hall (obviously now disgraced) and Eddie Waring providing good entertainment.

There are times I log into Netflix without a clue as to what I was watching the previous evening, or whether I had watched it to the end or still some remaining - lucky they have a "continue watching" button.

These days it's more about the programmes I CAN'T remember, like last week's episode of Shetland when I'm sitting down to watch the next one!

F Troop
Hogan's Heroes
The Beverley Hillbillies

One that scared me s***less and gave me nightmares was The Tellygoons. It's the puppet thing; I was the same with Punch and Judy shows.

Back in the day, probably in the 60s, there was a programme whose name escapes me.

There were three people, only one of whom was of a particular profession and they were interviewed by a panel who then had to conclude which of the three was that person.
At the end of their questioning, the host asked that person to stand and seemingly there was some time before that person rose to his/her feet, sometimes much to the surprise of the panel.

Perhaps those of a certain vintage might be able to furnish me with the title of this programme as it has escaped my mind.

Yes. as Dubai Eagle has suggested, this would be "What's My Line".

It started back in the 50s, and was revived in the 70s. Originally Eamonn Andrews hosted and there was a regular studio panel which included Lady Isobel Barnett, David Nixon and Gilbert Harding.

I seem to recall the member of the public whose occupation they had to guess came on and first of all did a little mime as a clue to their job. I remember a particular episode because a man who lived close by to us was on the programme - he was a police dog handler.

Thank you for your response, however "What's my Line" was a different programme.

Such a long time ago and my ageing mind does not function as efficiently as in bygone days !

Hoppity looked particularly creepy when he came out of the old man's sack.

There was also Four Feather Falls, an early Gerry Anderson offering.
