Thinking about it, a bit of a silly thread as loads of programmes are named after the protagonist.

How about titles of programmes which contain a dead person? I'll start with Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased).

I always thought the name "Doctor Emergency Ward 10" lacked any credibility.

1. McGyver ....so bad it was good

2. ''just one more thing " Columbo

3. TJ Hooker....the amazing Captain Kirk (91)was humiliating himself every week. Jeez that divorce must have been expensive.

4. Magnum PI.....interesting how a gun-toting detective was named after a Champagne Bottle or an Almond ice cream on a stick.

Regarding number 3, worth watching for Heather Locklear though

I had in mind "Ward".
Somewhere in the back of my cerebral matter, I have "The Grove Family" but this could be a figment of my imagination.

The Death of Stalin.

Does a political-moniker count as a proper surname ? Jughashvili just doesn't have the same ring to it. Not the same ring of steel.

and keeping up with the Cold War........The Bourne Identity

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Anyone mentioned Johnny English yet?

Rowan Atkinson quite possibly one of the greatest human beings our country has ever produced, IMHO!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!
