I'll take staying up and that's my first thought after every home win because there's no glaringly weak squad in the league, just some poor managers who can be upgraded. We have several first team starters who are championship standard. Somehow we are masking it at home but it's harder away.

We need to turn our away form around pronto.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

As regards 65, well it would be nice but I think reality, the cold winter weather, injuries, suspensions & good old fixture congestion will catch up with all the teams after the WC -

So what are you saying? That ALL teams will get fewer points this season than you might otherwise expect?

Its a difficult one to predict as I its unusual for this many teams to get into January without having played at least half their games - whilst no doubt there will be some surprising results, overall I would imagine that those squads with more strength in depth (Top 6) will fare better & take a larger slice of the points available than they would otherwise -

If you simply look at the points gained and project forward, we're on course for c50-51 points.

HOWEVER, we've played 7 home and only 5 away and with 13 points from our 7 home games and just 3 from 5 away games, a similar trajectory would take us to c 45-46 points (35 home and 10-11 away).

Personally, as I've said previously, we'll finish somewhere in the 40s as we have done in each of our last 9 seasons. I'll plump for 47 points and another mid-table finish, which would be fine by me.

Well it’s still half full, we have had a tough start to the season , just tallied up the possible points we could realistically get not trying to be to biased and that total is a real possibility , have a go yourself and see what you come up with

Is that all? Bit neggie

Only just, monkey. £2.2m per place in fact.

Makes you think, I believe Bury FC actually went under for owing less than £100,000

A decent summation. It's important to dig into the fine detail. On top of that form can be variable. I'm just pleased seasons are less clinging on situations and we're able to give ourselves a bit of breathing room nowadays.

Highest points total to be relegated from EPL in modern era (38 game seasons) has been between 39-42, therefore 44 points will please me! just to be sure!

Comfortable 40 odd points and an exciting cup run... that's what it's about for me... those wins in the cup, 4/5 wins make it a way more exciting season as finishing 18th and 14th, there's not really that much in in terms of extra wins...

This was once a quality forum....

Well, I for one don't want to see us finishing 18th and going down to the Championship
