RIP Big Man.
The bravery and dignity with which he faced Motor neurone disease was incredible as was his reaction to having his Lions tour ended by a vicious and cowardly assault.
He was an inspirational sportsman.

Such sad news.
He really was a lovely gentleman, displaying great spirit during his illness.
My thoughts go out to all family and friends at this sad time.

Mrs YT is weeping about this right now. What a great bloke he was.

He's immortalised in the opening chamber of the Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh.
