Our defeats to Forest and Fulham are the results that will put us in trouble. Had we picked up 4 or 6 points there we’d be sitting pretty with distance between us and the bottom three. Our next 4 games are Chelski away, Manure home, Newcastle home and Manure away and it doesn’t get much easier after that! We need to take something from those games before the visit of the Weed or we are in real trouble. Could be a nervy end to the season as we finish with games against teams down the bottom of the league.

Yeah there’s a few who’ve had far worse results in third round, Forest getting thumped by Blackpool for instance. Does feel to me a bit like when you didn’t do your homework at school however and you’d scout for who else in the class hasn’t to mitigate your situation.

In fairness the flip side is that ,having just watched the 90 minutes, they came up with a performance far more accomplished than I’ve seen us manage this season.
