With all what’s going on at the bridge, this could be our ‘easiest’ game of the next few weeks, but having said that, I still think they’ll turn us over comfortably 2-0 Edited by monkey (10 Jan 2023 4.35pm) In our present state,we would have struggled to overcome Stevenage, let alone Chelsea, who despite their difficulties, will soundly thrash us 3-0 or worse. And the endless boring excuses will flow from PV's lips!!

Yes "In our present state" being the key. They have a tough game just 3 days before, I hope that'll be to our advantage.
I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything. |

As far as I can recall we've had two away victories, against West Ham and Bournemouth, both struggling. Earlier in the season we had some commendable draws, Liverpool and Newcastle come to mind. We also had some good results at home, so I'm trying to figure out where this poor run has come from. Perhaps it's an accumulation of a thin squad, untimely injuries, and a wavering manager who can't quite get the best out of what he has at his disposal. These things, not so evident at first, do tend to build up to the point where they stare you in the face. So it's make or break time.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

It's never a good time to play Chelsea! Our record against them is lamentable.

Looks like they’ll be without their new boy in any instance.
