Let's at the very least put in a competitive performance and see where that takes us. So many games this season have had negativity
written all over them and with that mindset you are half way to defeat already.
Vieira fooled himself into thinking a narrow defeat is commendable. Not so, a negative approach will bring about a negative outcome. I look forward to the remaining games whereby we get the ball up to the front players. Paddy McCarthy has said as much and so I have hope for the team.

Strange that some are concerned and rightly that we could get to tonked but the consensus going backwards in time under PV did seem to be not a care for that if we at least try to score and leave it all on the pitch.

Second that! Put in a shift, losing to this Arsenal side ain't no shame, as long as we try to play ball and get in some tackles. No foolish passing among the back 5, please.
C'mon Paddy, fire the lads up and have a go!

I’ve seen us win, lose and draw at the Emirates.
The defeat was an Ozil inspired thrashing including a 30 minute spell of some of the best football I’ve ever seen played .
The win had one of Benteke’s good games and very good display from Zaha.
The drawn game we should have won.

Today’s Arsenal are a different proposition and deservedly lead the table.
Some predicted lineups for us include both Luka and Doucoure.
I hope this is wrong as Arsenal have four or five very clever players and I could foresee us conceding lots of free kicks outside the penalty area.
There would also be a high risk of more yellow cards and/or a sending off.
I hope we emerge relatively unscathed and can foresee a 2-0 defeat.

Arsenal 92 Palace Nil 0

Newly renamed Crystal Palace Nil (formerly Crystal Palace) see the ball in the Arsenal net after just 30 seconds, through a spectacular 40-yard Bukayo Saka backpass own goal. It's disallowed after the video ref spots Edsonne Edouard exposing himself to an Arsenal supporter while in an offside position on the touchline. It is, nevertheless, Edouard's first contribution to a match for weeks.

After that, it's all downhill for Palace. 17-0 down after five minutes, owner Steve Parish takes to the touchline and in a remarkable sequence of events, with his feet firmly planted three feet behind the whitewash, a stray Granit Xhaka pass deflects off his nose (which, unlike the remainder of his body, has remained within the playing area) completely fooling Vicente Guiaita for Arsenal's 18th goal.

Amusing but our defence is good.

1-0 loss.

Again.

Same here really, I hope we do put in a performance and maybe scrape a point for those going, but I’ll be sitting in a restaurant just wanting this game out of the way so we can get stuck into the teams around us in the run in

3-0 to Arsenal
