What are peoples thoughts on Jes over preseason? Talk of him going on loan to Leicester which would be wicked for him I’m sure and a good oportunity to test himself at championship level in what I imagine will be a high reaching team. Do we think he could do a job for us at this moment in time?

Also, what has happened with tayo adaramola? He looked really promising and was no where near the first team squad in preseason. Why?

Also, ebiowie. Has he featured? I’ve been a bit out the loop in truth

Didint he get sent back from Coventry for being Rubbish not long ago? He has failed to bounce back from that.

Loan to Leicester would be best for player and club imo.

All things being equal yes it would. However, if we aren't bringing in any attacking players then our need for JRS may be greater than the benefit of him going to Leicester.

I agree doombear. We appear very keen to bring in young players from around the world, most of whom we've never heard of, but not so keen on giving our own proven youngsters more of an opportunity at a senior level.

I'll be interested to see the lineup for tonight's match with Lyon.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

It becomes make or break for all of the young players. Palace,s main squad is not good enough to introduce young players , without risk to team, or more importantly player.
They all really need testing by loaning ,but that too can make or break, and does, but it helps sort the wheat from the chaff. Adromola, appears to have gone to Coventry ,too early , it has set him back, Ebiowio, and Plange, have not coped massively well, others have done really well , but not Championship. They need to cope really well in the Championship, before coming into the first team squad, as of yet that’s not the case for any of them. Rak-Sakai, should get that chance this season, and I really hope it works well for him.

I agree with you in many ways - however, our best of any recent times went straight into the first team. AWB, Wilf, Moses, Clyne, Mitchell. Why not the new ones? Our best is Ozoh in my opinion and Wells-Morrison, however we don't really need them as we're fine in those positions. Although Ozoh can play right back.
We need Rak-Sakyi and I can't help but feel that if we gave him a couple of games would be the only way to see if he would sink or swim. Risk - I know - but with our injuries not that outlandish.

I suspect it will be very similar to the game against Seville with established 1st teamers starting. At the moment it appears that O'Brien and Rak-Sakyi and possibly Ozoh will probably be the only youngsters getting a look in.

The lad has all the talent in the world, give him a few games and see, one thing is for certain in a couple of years he will be better than Olise.

However, by those who are supposed to know he clearly is not deemed good enough for use at EPL level, at this time. Its a huge step that very few can make and has to be right as it could make or break him and us!
