What I see in post match interviews especially with Eze , is the confidence that has been instilled back in the side , eze snipes at viera quite alot , there was always something wrong when viera was in charge , the rumours about last February when parish wanted him gone when we were actually doing ok Anyway Lanzo Ad was right all along , fair play to you mate Edited by SwordFish (16 Apr 2023 9.14am)
“This is a crisis, a large crisis.... in fact if you have a moment, it’s a 12 storey crisis, magnificent entrance hall, carpeting throughout, 24 hour portage , and an enormous sign on the roof saying “This , is a large crisis” - Edmund Blackadder |

When we re-appointed Roy I thought if he can get a tune out of Eze and Ayew and maybe Mitchell we should be able to grind out a few draws and be safe. Well he has done that and more all three of those players played their best football under Roy and are doing so again in fact the whole team is performing.
1. I believe we will now stay up comfortably, just need one more win I think we could finish with mid forties points. 2. He has shown any interested managers that we are a decent mid table club badly managed by PV. If Roy had failed I suspect many of the better managers would think we had a weak squad and no money so we would only get chancers. Roy has shown we are an attractive club that should be catnip for the better managers out there. So the question is do we stick with Roy or go for another manager. I think the answer to that depends on the board's spending plans. If they are not prepared to spend this summer than I would stick with Roy as we need a pragmatist who can get the best out of the squad. If they are prepared to invest then it sounds harsh on Roy but I would go for a new manager.
One more point |

Let's hope we don't attract Kurt Zouma.

New manager bounce, and may it continue. Ironically these are the same players as PV had and we are still 12th despite 3 straight wins. Winning all the remaining games would be nice.
