I agree that all forms of discrimination are unacceptable. It seems to me though that whilst many people handle discrimination on such things as accent, social class or appearance quite lightly, sometimes tongue-in-cheek, there is a nasty edge involved in racism. I have several friends who originate from Yorkshire who routinely join in with the sarcasm about their bluntness etc.

There are no laws to stop it either. No one is being taken to court because of snobbery.
