I mean, it's a desperate place but Burnley away is a better experience than the Etihad or the Emirates. As for the townsfolk after the away game last year I was walking back to Manchester Road (station) and a couple of local girls emerged from one of the pubs. Heard my accent and sought to persuade me that I might like to spend a night in Burnley with them rather than rush off. Even on a plate, not a chance. I like my women with teeth.
