Anyone think we might have a chance to sign him in the twilight of his career? If I’m right he turns 33 at the end of the month so I’d imagine City would be looking to off-load him. I wasn’t initially a fan but he’s grown on me. If there’s an elephant in the room it’s that one of his major attributes is speed and as we all know that falls off a cliff into your 30’s but maybe that could work in our favour price and salary wise. I haven’t googled him to see if he’s a Londoner but he sounds South.

Don't think this is going to happen. He is at the top of his game at the moment and a bit like Joel Ward for us is going to get another season at least

he will be on more than Wilf, so even if we he was interested in coming, which i strongly doubt, we couldn't afford him. Other than his pace i've always considered him quite a limited player. When his pace goes what will he have left?

Crickey. I don’t think we should necessarily think that a 33 year old Kyle Walker is totally out of our league! Talk about setting the bar for who we could potentially buy at ankle height. No doubt he’ll end up at a team like Villa who have more ambition. Edited by NE14T (17 May 2023 9.51am)

Because at 33 his speed and value are about to fall off a cliff and he may have a bit of foresight to realise that. I’d be very surprised if he has another season or two at the top level. Edited by NE14T (17 May 2023 9.55am) Edited by NE14T (17 May 2023 10.38am)

Will win 1 trophy, but may win the treble 33 or not, if you think he is in our league you need to give your head a wobble
