We have always been a better team with Jimmy Mac on the pitch, and that has been the case consistently for the last nine years. I really hope he gets on the pitch at the weekend. I suspect it's more likely to be as a sub, but I know you chaps will give him a send-off to remember.

A player who added a different dimension to our team. A model professional and an example for younger players. Unfortunately time and injuries caught up with him. I'll never forget his partnership with Connor Gallagher and the great football we were watching. Thanks Jim and all the best for the future.

I remember once I saw him up close from the Holmesdale warming up as a sub.it was thought his life depended on it. He was one of Warnock's first signings and within a handful of matches he was the driving hub of the team. He always gave his all to the team, and his influence off the pitch as an inspiration to younger players has been as important as his influence on Thank you Jimmy Mac!

A great signing for us and such a shame we have seen little of him in the last 18 months. I wish him the very best wherever he ends up.

Great player. Was overjoyed when we signed him from Wigan. How he wasn't picked up the season before is a mystery as he was easily one of the best midfielders in the Championship that season. Great bit of business. Wish him all the best. COYP !!

My player of the season several times. Fantastic awareness and work rate. Good luck for the future Macca.

Brilliant player. Can't think of too many better midfielders we've had, ever.

Here is a link to Richard Harris version, in 1968, something of a pop masterpiece.

True palace legend. Surely destined for a great last farewell appearance on Sunday afternoon at Selhurst.

The word ‘legend’ is thrown around way too often these days but entirely appropriate here. An underrated but not under appreciated hero at SE25. Always welcome back, I’m pleased to see some of the comments, and a true palace hero for me.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |
