Leafing through La Repubblica on a sunny piazza in Genoa was surprised to see an interview with Roy Hodgson (conducted in Italian naturally). Mainly it's focused on the Champions League final.

Is Hodgson out in Italy then? Probably means it’s gonna be him next manager then hence the hold up. I hope not though

Absolute joke Edited by EagleAlan78 (09 Jun 2023 11.28am) Edited by EagleAlan78 (09 Jun 2023 11.30am) As I was about to enter an Indian Restaurant I overheard a gruff gentleman venting his spleen about a lack of ambition citing words to the effect "Retaining two full backs in their 30s, a central defending in his mid-thirties, no managerial appointment announced" etc etc. There were a few chaps in the vicinity so I have no idea who was making these comments.He might have been in an advanced state of refreshment. I assume that the new restaurant is the 'Shapla'. I will have to sample its delights. I am delighted you have been devouring the 'Chicken Vindaloo' from the Monsoon in Goring.
