Now that Arsenal have bought Havertz, Clickbait rumor has that Arsenal want him out, if true, we should be busting a gut to get him and Nelson, it would solve almost all our problems, 20m for Nketiah and Nelson for free, they must realise that the have no future at Arsenal

Reports say Nketiah is on 100k per week which is way too much for a player still cutting his teeth at PL level. I do think he'd be good for us, but not on those wages. Nelson would probably be good but he looks set to sign a new deal (apparently) worth around 100k per week. I can't see either of these deals happening as those kind of wages say Arsenal have no real interest in selling. Balogun is perhaps more of a possibility, but not if the rumoured £35m feel is what Arsenal want.

I disagree, 100k is not too much for a young striker who has showed he can score in the Premier League, Edouard is on 95k a week, and we know he isn't premier league standard, and if Nelson has any ambition to be a first team player, he needs to leave, maybe somebody needs to have a whisper in their shell like.

He has 14 PL goals inn 89 appearances. As I said, I think he could be a good fit, but he's not someone who has been regularly getting 12-15+ goals a season in the PL. He got 4 goals last season and 5 the season before and has only ever really been an impact sub. Edouard hasn't worked out so far but he was banging them in for Celtic for years and his wages (which I think are actually nearer 80k than 100k) are also a reflection of the fact he was a free transfer. Anyway, unless we agreed a loan I highly doubt he's going to come here as the fee would likely be north of 25/30m plus a big signing fee and high wages for a player who scored fewer goals than Edouard last season.

He's on £84k and we signed him for £14m rising to 18.5m

You're right! I guess his performances convinced me he must have been given away.

Yours stats are not really accurate, example,
Eddie Nketiah, goal every 154 mins
Callum Wilson, goal every 189 mins

Thats, Premier league and domestic cups.

Are you sure as I thought that we'd stopped signing unproven players on ridiculous wages?

I'm still holding out hope of being signed as a disproven player on very modest wages.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Nketiah won't come to us. He has the had the opportunity before and not really been interested.

I wonder if he thinks he deserves to play for bigger club.

I don't think you can include the cups as they're often not PL opposition and the EFL is a joke competition until the semis. My stats are accurate in that he has 14 goals in 89 PL appearances. Obviously a lot of his appearances were as sub. As I said before I think he could be a good fit for us, but we are still talking about potential here. A club our size shouldn't be handing out wages of 100k pw to potential. That is surely the reserve of Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, etc. As a fan I don't really care how much the players get paid if the club can afford it, I'm just questioning the likelihood of us handing that kind of money to an Arsenal reserve with a modest goal record.

They are rating Nketiah higher than Balogun and they are asking 35 mil for him. So theoretically asking more than that for Nketiah. From what I've seen, he'd do well for us. It's interesting when we've been linked before as it takes us so long to identify any new targets, plus often some of the negotiations have been done.
I'm not sure what the contract situations are - I heard Nketiah was offered a contract but didn't hear about him accepting it. Have a feeling they are trying to offload Nelson. Nelson might be a good shout - it's one of those ones waiting on what Wilf does.
