Wouldn't be surprised to see Gary O'Niell in the dugout next season with Shaun Derry back with him if they have a good season with Wolves. He lives very local to Beckenham and his kids are in school in the area and his boy is in a South London clubs academy.
Would be a very good move for him and the club if he can back up and better what he did for Bournmouth this season at Wolves. He certainly knows his onions when it comes to tactics and coaching. All signs point to a big future in management for him.

Not a bad shout. If Howe got the push, he would be a pretty good fit for us. I didn't expect the Saudis to have any patience but they have surprised me. Still, if Newcastle don't quite push on to the highest level, I could see someone big, like Pep, going there; Ancelotti - that kind of big name manager.

At the game on Saturday against Burnley, Palace fans saying that Southgate had already spoke to Parish and is in the frame for next Season,

No substance or facts just what was being said.

Roy is doing a great job this season. Isn't Moyes out of contract next year and isn't he exactly the type of manager Parish likes to go for, British, very experienced?

O'Neill wouldn't be a bad option at all. Although we beat Wolves, they did play some good football and with better finishing could have beaten us.

I suspect it will be Southgate if he does step down from the England job. Of course, if England were actually to win the Euros next Summer he may stay on for the 2026 World Cup in which case, who knows?

In any event the managerial landscape will look somewhat different by the end of this season.

If he were willing to come to a club like ours, I wouldn't say no to Arne Slot at Feyenoord.

This one has been doing the rounds for years with zero substance to it, other than the fact he came through our academy and we have a penchant for hiring ex England managers.
I can't see it myself, he's very well settled up north and can't see him uprooting to move down for the Palace job. Unless he wants to travel up and down the country like some(Younger) managers do.

That is my guess as well.

Seems a tad disrespectful to start discussing the club's potential next manager this early.

Too much could happen to change the perspective. In the meantime we support Roy and his team.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

It will be Paddy 100% (unless he is dead) get you money on now, The Chants for Vieira out at Strasbourg are well underway, we dont want to go down that total change in style, formation, and lack of fitness and training again, Paddy, Ray and and maybe Jedinak who is assistant coach at Spuds will be good. ex players are like a comfortable pair of Flip-Flops

Why? We know he is only contracted for one season. Why didn’t you just say we should keep Roy, it would at least provide a better contribution to this discussion.

Can't believe people are seriously suggesting Paddy... He needs 5 years in the lower divisions to prove himself before being considered a serious contender for a PL managers job. He should be applying for jobs in League 2 if he wants to start his managerial career.

I fear it could be Southgate. Good media man and that's about it. I don't think fans of any PL would want him. Not up to it.

My man would be Potter. Was fantastic overseas and set the foundations for Brighton which De Zerbi has since built on.

What I think will happen is that Palace will finish about 9th and Roy will be offered another year which he will accept. I'd be fine with that, he's doing well, knows his stuff and the players clearly respect and respond well to him.

James McArthur has just retired, perhaps give him go? Maybe have Joel Ward as an assistant manager/captain hybrid? Maybe Clinton Morrison could come in and give up his Soccer Saturday gig?

Why can't we hunt down the likes of Francesco Farioli, the new manager of Nice. He worked under de Zerbi at Sassuolo and Benevento; he has a degree in Philosophy which would suit a number of fans on here, worked at the Italian football federation and the Qatar aspire academy.
I dont work in football, but it can't be that hard to dig out these gems. 34 years old and currently top of the French league. Worth watching to see how he fares this season. Playing some great football.

Signed for Nice in the summer. Ineos dont get a lot wrong, other than trying to buy into Man U instead of picking up the might of south london at a fraction of the price right here at the Palace.
