'AERO',
'Give Paddy the rest of the season' Really ?? and Why ??
He is currently part of this mess with no managerial experience of note. At the end of this month we are likely to be in a proper relegation fight - everyone has banged on this season about how Burnley, Sheffield United and Luton are awful and will go straight back down blah blah blah. However on current form probably only the first 2 of those are currently worse and there is often a team that drops like a stone.
I don't know if you went last night but in my nearly 50 years of going I don't think I have seen a Palace crowd turn so quickly and so hostilely and RH will have torn it even more with his post-match comments. If McCarthy were appointed it would, I think it would be a decision similarly received, though it is probably possible given that Parish likes to surround himself with cheap, yes men.
Knowing how completely clueless Parish is in transfer windows, we will probably be further weakened by the sale of a Guehi or an Olise etc to raise funds and he also doesn't do replacements or positions where we are lacking.
Any new manager needs to be the proven article (not Cooper, why ??) and though it hurts to say it Potter is possibly the best choice even though he is ex-Seaweed scum, though would he come ??
Complacent and arrogant Parish with all the owners of a similar ilk need to get some very big decisions right and quickly or we will be in the Championship next year where Parish can call on his much-vaunted Academy which is all he seems to be bothered about.

Agree with some of your points but seriously who will come to us with our transfer budget and up and coming fixtures? Potter certainly won't. Paddy temporary would hopefully keep us up and at least hopefully play a few of the youngsters. Yes a parish yes man but beggars can't be choosers and we are in a bad place at the moment.

Parish has exhausted other managerial avenues, it explains how we ended up with Roy again. What other mug would want to take on the role without a guarantee of funding to improve a paper thin side?
The only option left to Parish is to recruit internally, and this is where Paddy steps in.
Future scholars of the game will see by CPFC's example the average lifespan of a side in the PL, and how easy it is to exit it without regular funding.

I think if we offer Roy another year he will turn it down. He doesn't seem to be enjoying the job at all

Is exactly right Lanzo..!!

Why because he is Roy - and obdurate beyond belief - this is my formation I'm sticking to it irrespective of available resources and whether it means playing square pegs in round holes..!!

Roy will just not change, it's his way or the highway..!!

He's comments after the game that we as fans have been "spoilt" are both typical Roy i that he will never accept responsibility and then bordering on derisible - how have we been spoilt - we have lost to Luton and Bournemouth - how does Roy see that given the resources we have available we as fans should not expect to be beating teams like this..??

As I said previously Roy will always play experienced mediocrity over youth and potential.

Last nights comments and those after the Spurs game - "youngsters just not good enough" - tells you all you need to know..!!

I'm not discounting that we have injuries to key players - but we have been beaten twice Luton and Bournemouth by teams not better than us but just showed more desire - that starts with the Manager and Roy can dance around it all he likes - but we just ain't showing basic desire - and that Roy is down to you..!!

For me - he's time is done and it's time for someone that will give youth and potential a chance..!!

I for one am fed up with Roy stubbornness - blaming everything/everyone rather than looking at himself and his own turgid team selections and tactics..!!

COYP

Franca not performing in the u23 is probably because he hasn’t joined for reserve football. Like an apprentice plumber being given plastic stillsons. What’s the use and why bother. The 15 minutes I saw at the toon showed me he has something. What Roy is missing is I cannot remember fans immediately loosing on any player who tries their hardest even if they don’t produce what is expected. We always give them time from what I remember in 46 years. Protecting a professional player by not playing them is what destroys them.

I've never been a Roy fan & be glad to out him.
OK he's old & does that automatically give him forget?
The board are pathetic too with no respect for the fans
Mugging us off with an second rate squad.
We look like we've only just been promoted

'Give Paddy the rest of the season‘

Certainly not that’s a one way ticket to the championship. If Roy goes we need somebody experienced to have a chance of steadying the ship.

Listen to today’s press conference he basically said this was a 1 year arrangement. Possibly have a replacement in mind already?
