Today’s result could have done us a HUGE favour if it indeed Roy is sacked!

It gives another manager time to prepare for our next game and hopefully win back the Palace support!

Graham Potter was in attendance. From what he saw I kinda feel he will not be receptive if Parish comes calling.

Palace are now a poisoned chalice

Man and boy Palace since my first game in 1948 sitting on my dad's shoulders

Fair play those palace fans holding up that banner … seems like an obvious thing to do but it’s something like this that will make the public talk even louder. I wouldn’t be surprised if Roy says that’s him done in his post match interview. Ps if there’s anything in graham potter being there , id be so happy with that

It would be very cruel to put that kind of pressure on him.

He was presented with a framed Arsenal shirt in the lounge before the match. Tight arse Arsenal would only allow 1 person with him as they would only provide 2 tickets. We could have gone but would have to have sat in the lounge and watched on monitors… so glad I didn’t go after that s*it show.

I can't see how Roy stays after that. Nothing about the set up or the tactics made sense. The players looked lost and at the end had given up. I do feel for Roy as he looks genuinely upset, but he has to go.

Agreed, I do feel for Roy but it’s time to go and the fault lies beyond just him.

Time to move forward. 2-0 would have been bad but 5-0 oddly gives me hope…..for change

A disgusting thrashing.
I for one opined that we would be defeated but I never considered 5-0.
Buffeted and holed, sinking, bilge pumps working overtime.
At this moment in time I am wearing a face like a thunderclap.

Losing to Arsenal is no surprise, we’ve won there 3 times in 30 years.

Saturday post match

"Arsenal are a good team and well rested. It was always going to be tough against them away from home. I thought we played well for the first 10 minutes and we could have had some calls go the other way. The young lads did make it a bit worse"

Tuesday post-match

"Sheffield United was always going to be a tough one. They had nothing to lose and probably the potential points deduction for Everton and Forest has given them a fillip. Normally when you only allow one goal in you get a point but it just wasn't our day in front of goal. I thought the youngsters needed a rest after sub appearances in the past two games"

etc.

Standing outside the ground, doesn't really even hurt much. The fact we had to bring on Tompkims says it all. No squad, some really good players held back by a legendary manager who's had his time.
I don't think us fans even mind league position. We just want to have a go at these teams, make a fist of it. We barely lay a glove on any team half decent.
I'm trying with the thought of relegation and a reset like Leicester. I don't think it's best, we have to stay in this division.
Tough decisions now- Steve over to you.
