I'm of the view that this lad will develop into a 'Carrick' type player. He'll need time to adjust like any player but I think the future is bright for him.

Agree, There will be an adjustment period, but he's got that Sergio Busquets ability to receive the ball under pressure and lose his marker with a little shoulder drop. He's only 19 but already bossing hte Championship. Hard to imagine him not being able to make the step up. I'd stick my neck out and say that with the platform we'll give him, he may well be knocking on the England door a year from now.

From the little I've seen of him, and whilst not suggesting Adam will go on to enjoy the same level of success, that's exactly the 'style' I thought of. Seems determined to win the ball in midfield with timing and accuracy as opposed to brute aggression, calm and composed, very tidy and an impressive passing range.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |
