What's happened to this fellah?
Has he retired?
I thought it was quite a coup when we signed him from Arsenal on a three-year deal, where he had made an impressive 162 appearances.
I fully expected him to be an active contributor to the first team.
However, as of right now he is another Darcy Blake.

I think he's out for the season.

Did have to have an operation on it? Hopefully will be available as a back-up CB next season.

Yes, towards the end of January. Whatever he did turned out to be more serious than first thought.

I thought he was just supposed to be deep squad depth, then of course he was crocked before he could even get one minute for us. He's like Ferguson with no potential.

2017 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Middlesboro
2018 Jan. (Sako) Palace 1 - 0 Burnley
2019 May (Batshuayi, Batshuayi, OG, Van Aanholt, Townsend) Palace 5 - 3 Bournemouth
2020 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Newcastle

Did he not come with a warranty?
We seem to be suckers for buying duds, like Ferguson and Holding, (Henderson) to name but 3.
Should build money-back guarantees into purchase agreement, in the same way there are buy-back / release n bolt-on clauses. We’ve had too many sick notes in recent years!

We really haven't taken to him and when he did play he looked crap. However, if fit, probably a better option than Tomkins.
