We are a different proposition with Olise and Eze in the team. If they are both fit for the run in there's no reason we can't get over 40 points. I also think the three week break came at an ideal time as Glasner has had three games to assess the players available, to identify weaknesses and put a plan in place on how to approach the run in. Providing the injury situation is more favourable I'd actually be disappointed if we didn't secure 40 points.

Me too. Some posters seem to have been infected with Hodgson's disease - namely bigging up the opposition and thinking we aren't good enough to play proper football against them.

We have 10 fixtures remaining and we gained 10 points in the reverse fixtures under Hodgson earlier in the season. I expect Glasner to better that return with or without Olise.

Especially as we’ve finished in the 40’s every season since we’ve been up

Yeah, it's the home/away fixture flip that's the concern though isn't it.

Of those 10 points:

3 points - Wolves, United,
1 point - Forest, Fulham, West Ham, City
0 points - Liverpool, Bournemouth, Newcastle, Villa

The ones in bold are the ones at home this time around. 4 are in the top 7, and the other is 10th.

The easier ones are away. It'll be just shy of 5 months since our last away win when we turn up at Forest.

I'd still expect there to be enough quality in the team to get to 40 but I wouldn't expect us to go into any of those games with a Palace win being the most likely result with the bookies, albeit probably quite a few draws.

So many of those games are going to be tight and decided by a single goal and we all know our late goals record! Incredibly the only game we've won by a single goal since September was Sheffield United at home. The other wins (Burnley x2, Brentford) we've needed the cushion.

26th January 2010 - Enter Administration
2nd May 2010 - D-Day 1 - Survival at Hillsborough
1st June 2010 - D-Day 2 - Survival at Lloyds
7th June 2010 - CPFC2010 exchange contracts.

We have exceeded 40 points every season since we got back into the Premier League. So we are not in a position we could have expected going into the campaign

I get that Oldham feeling in quite a few seasons. I've been wrong so far.
