Don’t do it Michael, sign the improved contract and see what options are available next year. Chelsea are a mess and have just down graded big time with their chosen manager. He will be sacked by Christmas, even Leicester fans are happy he’s gone.

Bit annoyed I cant remember who reported it about half an hour ago but there was a very small piece on my web browser saying basically that despite reports to the contrary, Crystal Palace have not offered Michael Olise a new contract as it would set a president for any of Palace's other in demand stars that are attracting interest currently. Good point re injuries. He has not had a pre-season with us yet, as has been injured over the summer for each of the last 3 years

Another site purporting to know the truth - he-he It does sound a little more realistic than most of the others. Time will tell, though. I can well imagine that Olise's agent is itching to get a deal done before he's banned.

It's full of '' I've been told '', '' it's been reported '' and then just pure speculation. And I doubt very much that Olise will be motivated to get a move done just to suit his agent !

Another click bait suggesting Manure want him and are prepared to offer Diallo plus cash. Pure speculation I’m sure but probably a better option than most of the other rejects mentioned. The lad scored some cracking goals for Sunderland, has a sweet left foot and is the right age. Edited by Palacesince64 (21 Jun 2024 12.05pm)

Edited by Palacesince64 (21 Jun 2024 12.05pm) These stories always provoke the thought, why don't the buying club go for the possible replacement as a viable and cheaper option?

Alan Nixon, who seems to me to be more reliable than most on Palace stuff, had repeatedly said that there is currently nothing of substance in all the media reports about him. I would be very surprised / disappointed if he went to Chelsea. They are a ridiculous club with no coherent strategy other than buying as many talented young players for huge fees as possible and hoping they gel. Absolutely no guarantee that Maresca, who only just got Leicester over the line, will be the saviour there. United have a decade long track record of ruining players. If it was City, Arsenal, Liverpool or a big overseas club I'd understand him wanting to take the opportunity but Chelsea and United could ruin him. If he has any sense, and I think he does, he'd spend another season here and then go to one of those clubs.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

I have heard more than once Michael has a very supportive and astute family around him that care far more about his happiness than squeezing every last penny out of the highest bidder. If he has the season that we all think he will if he stays injury free at Palace he will have the pick of any club in the world. I wouldn't even be surprised if Madrid came calling a year from now.

Ornstein says he's going to Bayern Munich. He is usually reliable. I hope he's wrong this time.

hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing. |
