Fingers crossed this is not true, according the major Dutch football website Bayern München is after Glasner.

If true, it would hardly be surprising.
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

I am not given to grand statements, but there is no way this is going to happen. It would exceptionally foolish both for Glasner, in showing he is willing to leave for a better offer after only 13 games, and for Bayern, in reaching a conclusion that he is their man because of 13 games in the PL. Click bait only.

I think it would be more than surprising and this speculation is certainly premature. Just as Glasner seems to be a good manager for Palace, we are currently a good club for Glasner: a team that trusts him and doesn't have so many airs and graces, a club management that doesn't question him every time he loses, a following that isn't spoilt and doesn't demand every title imaginable and, most importantly, he's not in the spotlight of the press here like he is at the really big clubs. At Bayern, he would have been torn apart after the first three or four games. No wonder Ralf Ragnick preferred to remain Austrian team manager and turned Bayern down. It's a suicide mission there. Glasner is, I think, clever enough to gain experience in the PL without immediately becoming a megalomaniac. At least that's my assessment of him.

Glasner is already a legend, having done an incredible job at turning round ,what was a sinking ship, and achieving a most unlikely flourish to the end of our season.

My guess is that Glasner is on a short list for the job but is not the preferred candidate. He knows this so why upset Palace fans for a job he's not being offered. If Bayern were serious and he was their No 1 choice he would go, why wouldn't he.

With success comes the inevitable rumours. I expect there to be many more, the papers tell us there's interest in half of our starting 11. It would be nice if Bayern could appoint someone sharpish though, don't want this rumour getting any momentum.

Funny. I thought back the other day to the interview with Textor who said he thought Glasner would be a good fit for Palace rather than Lyon. How right he was!
