What's the nearest I have heard there are some very welcoming ladies in the Thornton Heath area. As stated, go to one of the anodyne venues in east Croydon. Don’t be tempted by anything near Selhurst.

I used to stay in the Croydon Aerodrome hotel on Purley way, its gone downhill a bit in recent years as its changed hands several times, its not the nearest but it was clean & they used to do a cracking buffet breakfast - Jury Inn is probably the closest within walking distance - I know a few of the away teams stay there so if you took the recommendation of the earlier poster & stayed there you just might bump into the Villa lads -

hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing. |

Chelsea have definitely stayed in the Jury Inn before, I stand to be corrected but I think the day that CG scored that last minute winner - because of the train strikes I got the misses to pick me up from the bar in that hotel (after a suitable period to allow traffic to die down & me to have a couple more beers) one of the staff at the hotel asked me about the game, remarking that Chelsea had stayed there the night before.

Jurys is now Leonardos, when Chelsea stayed there they booked the whole hotel and I wasn’t even allowed to drop my bag before the match.
