Everton have just rejected £50m offer for Brainthwaite.
We have got to be at £70m for Guehi.
If we are Im sure we will be up for a sale especially if he doesn't want a new contract.
We are in a good place on this one.
Dougie has done great work for us.
It is all starting to look very rosy for Parish and Palace.
Thoroughly deserved.

I honestly would sell Guehi if there is a really good bid. We have the new chap Chadi, Richards and Anderson.

Lerma was also fantastic at the back last season.

I don't think that AWB is a right back though, not in the modern sense anyway. There's no way he could play as our RWB in the way that Munoz does, but I feel like if you slotted him in on the right hand side of Andersen and he moved over to cover when Munoz bombs forward, that could be awesome.

However, yeah it won't happen but just interesting to discuss in theory.

He was originally and attacking winger who was converted to RB, therefore RWB is perfect for him..

i presume you haven't seen Man U when they've occasionally played him there.
Looked a bit lost.

On paper it's a perfect position for him, however, he has struggled to understand the role.

As a fanbase we have an unhealthy obsession for retreads. AWB is a mediocre footballer and we should be looking forwards not be looking in the rear view mirror at AWB who has regressed rather than progressed since leaving us

If he didn't have those telescopic legs to help him recover whenever he's caught out of position (which is very often!) he wouldn't be anywhere near a club like Man U.

That's a bit like asking Parish to give you Guehi. Home grown unlike Guehi and very valuable, just like Guehi.

1) Rumoured. Key word - it’s rumour until it happens so is far from certain
2) Who says it’s “guaranteed” the replacements are worse?!
3) You have to have a reasonable expectation that some of our players (as a midtable club) will want away when the big clubs come calling. If you can’t live with that then maybe you’re supporting the wrong club. Cos it’s a way of life and gonna happen whether you like it or not.

The Euros have definitely increased the interest in him. I was in a pub with a bunch of non-Palace English supporters and they were all complimenting him. The good thing is there's been no mention of a release clause, so we'll make money from a bidding war.

We can keep him if we want, but if the price gets to 60 million I think we should take it. Just hope the new signing is pretty good.
