He has Palace written all over him with his style of play. If we got him for £30 million and we bank £50 million for Olise then I wouldn't be too unhappy if that profit is reinvested. The idea he would turn down Barca and then join Palace would be quite something.

This would be a very popular signing on this board. London. England U21. Now only 22. LW. Perhaps LWB in extremis (??). If he shines he may be selected for the England first team. Probably not as good as Olise. But then was Olise as good as Olise when we got him? However, have we not got a LW in Eze? Push Eze to the middle and who does he then displace? Kamada? Wharton? Is this the writing on the wall for Eber?

Is this the writing on the wall for Eber? Doesn't Kamada play on the left? Maybe the idea is for him and Ebs to switch during games rather than one replacing the other. In any case building a competitive squad will inevitably lead to some degree of duplication. Quality replacements are what everybody has been saying we need for years and is even more necessary with OGs way of playing.

I thought Kamada and Philogene both play on the right and cut in on their left like Olise. Although with Kamada, I think he can play in any of the midfield positions so will be quite an asset if we need him to fill in somewhere.

Read some very good things about him, he looks class. Would definitely be an exciting one.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

Surely we are a better option than Ipswich and Everton? Is he waiting for a top 6 call? They tend to go for top flight proven so he will be waiting a long time. Edited by silvertop (04 Jul 2024 12.30pm)

Everton obviously a bigger club than us and have all the history but they're also a mess and Dyche is hardly progressive. You'd hope that young players would see how well other Championship stars have progressed here and the manner that we finished the season and view us a very attractive option.

Transfermarkt has Kamada in the middle (AM or striker), with Eze and Philogene on the left. Will Philogene come to us as second string to, or job share with, Eze? More likely a replacement, no? And who plays on the right when Olise goes? Is that where Kamada will need to adapt to, or do we have an as yet untested gem in the feast of midfield talent currently in the squad?

You've made the point on Everton and us, but the gap between newly promoted and long term incumbents is now as wide as people used to say it was. Last season all 3 promoted teams went straight back down to an uncertain fate. Ipswich could do well first half of the season, but after the New Year..?

he looks an exciting prospect, however, surely £20m tops for a guy who has essentially had one good season in the champ - his earlier loan at Cardiff was pretty average
