In time for the new season, the Holmesdale Online will be getting a fresh look to mark its 25-year anniversary. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to transform the message board, giving it an improved design and a ton of new features. The new message board will feature: Responsive design No more zooming in and out on your phone to read what people are saying, the site will work brilliantly on your mobile. Notifications Get real-time notifications on your desktop to new posts and replies. Posting improvements Rich text editing, media embedding, and post reactions. Speed boost Lightning fast page rendering, getting you to the latest Palace news and views quicker. We hope to bring you this new look in a few weeks' time, so keep an eye out here for more information as we count down to the changeover. Important information for existing users When we switch over to the new message board system, the majority of your existing profile on the site will be ported over. The following however will NOT be ported: Private messages After the switch over happens you will no longer be able to access any old private messages. Please take this time before the switch to save any important information you may have in private messages. Old message board posts The existing forums, threads and posts will be archived, and remain accessible at the same URL, but they will NOT be ported over to the new system. Pages not on the message board Pages such as the homepage, news articles, history etc will remain for now on the current system. When the change takes place, we will require you to reset your password in order to log in to the new system – more details of this will come closer to the time. If you have questions or concerns about the change, please ask your questions below. Edited by Guntrisoft (25 Jul 2024 3.36pm) Webmaster - The Holmesdale Online Follow the HOL on Twitter! In time for the new season, the Holmesdale Online will be getting a fresh look to mark its 25-year anniversary.

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to transform the message board, giving it an improved design and a ton of new features.

The new message board will feature:

Responsive design
No more zooming in and out on your phone to read what people are saying, the site will work brilliantly on your mobile.

Notifications
Get real-time notifications on your desktop to new posts and replies.

Posting improvements
Rich text editing, media embedding, and post reactions.

Speed boost
Lightning fast page rendering, getting you to the latest Palace news and views quicker.

We hope to bring you this new look in a few weeks' time, so keep an eye out here for more information as we count down to the changeover.

Important information for existing users
When we switch over to the new message board system, the majority of your existing profile on the site will be ported over.

The following however will NOT be ported:

Private messages
After the switch over happens you will no longer be able to access any old private messages. Please take this time before the switch to save any important information you may have in private messages.

Old message board posts
The existing forums, threads and posts will be archived, and remain accessible at the same URL, but they will NOT be ported over to the new system.

Pages not on the message board
Pages such as the homepage, news articles, history etc will remain for now on the current system.

When the change takes place, we will require you to reset your password in order to log in to the new system – more details of this will come closer to the time.

If you have questions or concerns about the change, please ask your questions below.

Well I don't like change. I prefer outdated designs and slow moving clicks. I also think we should bring back Teresa as the first thing on photos. She was there for so long and now I miss her. Plus I'd like to bring back the prediction board, with it's glitches that people exploit to win first place, while people like me don't know them and finish half way down.

I like the sound of it being mobile friendly and not having to zoom in and out As a member of 22 years I can’t remember a major change like this, good stuff

I'm a mere newby compared to numerous other members, but I take this opportunity to thank everyone who has operated the site in the past and who continue to do so. Good luck with the changes, which sound very exciting. I will try to be a better person in the new era. Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Well done all of you behind the scenes folk who have worked on the development of our site. Should be much improved. Now all we need is a top six finish next season. Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I have years of conversations with staffie that I would not like to lose, is the a way you can condense them all to a file and send it to me privately? Also does that mean we will lose the famous mp3 thread that was started by staffie ? Glad All Over
