I think only armed police should be used in areas of Protest. Then we can see real instant justice in action.
And it would save clogging the courts and legal system.
And would negate having to free up more prison space.

Obviously, it would have to be a 'shoot to kill' policy, as we wouldn't want to over-burden the NHS with gun-shot wounds

You bet I was. Why wouldn’t I have been? I fully support the police and believe they have been far too soft on all sides.

Then I apologise.

also counting dead bodies we can accurately compare skin colours to see if we really do have fair policing in practice.

And they are going to give nearly 100,000 asylum seekers a free pass - a percentage of whom are likely to be criminals and not here to do any good at all.
Within 5 years their families will be allowed to come here as well and all the while, more boats will arrive because we are now an easier touch than we were a few weeks ago - and I didn't think that was possible!!

Exactly what is this assertion based on?

I don’t recall it being in the manifesto or announced subsequently.

It would hardly be a vote winner would it?

I think it’s simply the right trying to find more imaginary sh*t to throw at the new government. Probably originating from the same sources that are responsible for the rioting.

But I am willing to be corrected if there is any actual evidence of it being true.

When you think about it two tier policing is an inevitable consequence of the awful MacPherson report.

Police feel or are compelled to discuss how non white communities are policed with their 'community' organisers, yet are under no such pressure to do so when whites organise for a protest....in fact any organisers would be arrested.

I think you pose an interesting question here as in the case of any large demo (including say the Yaxley Lennon one in London a weeks ago,) these discussions take place

What we are seeing here now is from both sides less of a demonstration more an attempt at mob intimidation . I can't see any group going to the local police and saying ' we plan to pop down the High Street and try to attack a few people and have a bit of looting and burning.'

I think we will see things get worse before they get better.

The government has said it will fast track asylum applications. Given that the vast majority of applications are rejected which then leads to multiple appeals over many years the assumption is the only way to clear the back log is to approve them?

Or put another way the government hasn't explained how they will prevent lawfare by activist lawyers.

Extremism serves no one.

Extremism is the reason a lot of migrants came here in the first place.

That one sentence explains the reason for the tonnes of garbage being posted in this thread and the excuses being offered for the riots.

It isn’t true. The overwhelming majority or migrants come here to work or study.

Only around 6% of the total are asylum seekers. The vast majority of them are fleeing poverty, oppression or war, and are seeking a better life and safety for themselves and their family.

There will be a few extremists hiding among them which is why it takes so long for all the checks to be made. Some will escape the checks and go on to cause problems but to suggest that extremism is a major reason for migration is disinformation.

It needs to stop.

You were wrong.

I have never suggested you aren’t entitled to an opinion.

Perhaps you will accept I am entitled to mine too?

Which is different to yours!

I think something like this is already in operation. There are hotels in the locality here housing migrants.
