(Im pretty sure another band took their name from the music store, Alex chats up the 2 girls in, but cannot remember?)

The Doors from The Doors of Perception by Aldous Huxley.

Well known ones:
Duran Duran from a character in Barbarella.
The Boo Radleys from To Kill a Mockingbird

Black Sabbath, Fine Young Cannibals, The Searchers were taken from film titles.

The band 'Highway Star' took its name from a song title by Deep Purple.

When it became a punk band, it changed its name to 'Stiff Little Fingers' from a song title by 'The Vibrators'.

to start with an obvious one 'Genesis' first book from the Bible.
'Uriah Heep'-Character from David Copperfield by Charles Dickens and lastly 'Thin Lizzie' named after a robot in the Dandy named Tin Lizzie who had an Irish accent.

The doors of perception is taken from a William Blake poem, I believe.
