Exactly, Im not saying it was the colonel and there is no chance of him buying palace but I am now sure thgere was some substance to the rumours. Think about it, why not test the water by talking about buying the cheapest and possibly the lowest profile club in the premiership? He could afford to but Man ure, Liverpoll etc but Im sure his people said there would be national uproar if he was to buy an "institution".... So he lets it leak out even if hes not serious and sees what happens... Thought of a good song whilst drunk if he did... ".....walking along, planting a bomb, walking in a..." Ok its bad taste but it made me laugh... Whilst I found the prospect of a billionaire enticing at first the more i had a chance to reflect on it the more I realised we would be selling our soul to the devil. good post reborn mate, I too at first was happy to be in a position to be considered among the nations richest clubs, however I don't want the thought that we would become an instant club, along the lines of Chelsea (money laundering) and fulham (gun running, passport seeking).
