As far as I understand, there are still 3 offences you can be hanged for.
These are:
High Treason
Piracy on the high seas (this is obviously a law from a long time ago that just has`nt been changed)
Bombing of a Naval base

I do have significant worries referring to Cat Steven's response and I agree with him whole-heartedly.

As a boy I went to church.... this does not mean I want to be associated with the actions or be seen to have the same opinions as the members of the Ku Klux Klan, an organisation that has proven links with the church in the Southern states of America.

The actions of whoever masterminded yesterday's appauling acts were those of a person driven by a deep hatred of humanity and progession in human relations. The overwhelming majority of muslims are shocked and disgusted by yesterday's acts and for all we know innocent muslims may have been caught up in this, as Livingstone said yesterday this wasn't an act of evil on a specific race or religion but on a certain way of life.

I think it is very dangerous to tarnish an entire religion with the blame for yesterday.

Thats it. All I felt was that it could be a possibility. If Al Quieda wanted to do something like this without getting noticed as they did, surley it is a possibilty, that they would try to enlist average white people, then get then brainwashed into having a cult state mind, and then get them to carry out the bombing. I never said it was a belief of mine at all.

Of course the people are fanatics (I wouldn't like to call them Muslims, as I believe that to be an insult to the good honest Muslims that I know).

On another note. For all the people who got up, said f*** you to the terrorists and went back on the public transport to work or wherever your destination may be. Have a safe Journey.

These are the offences listed for hanging although I am with you in as much as no-one will be hung in this country even if they commit those offences.
I have however not said that I think anyone who has commited any of the offences yesterday should get hung as I stay clear of such discussions.

I would like to send my condolences to the families of the berived and wish those who were injured my best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Well i said fu@k off to the terrorists by coming to work today on public transport except tubes as they are shut (not sure if i could've got on them anyway).

The idea of terrorism is to cause fear, anxiety and terror to acheive political goals. If we let it affect us then they have won. I for one found it hard to come into london today but i thought it imperative to get back to normal and to just get on with it. Inspired mainly but the typical British spirit.

You have to admire the great way the British public have responded to these terrible events. To get the majority of the tube, buses and trains running again is a superb effort and the emergency services were brilliant.

Hopefully this will prove a point to the b******s that did this that no matter how hard you try to make things difficult for us we will BOUNCEBACK even stronger. You might as well give up now as you will never beat us.

I must admit I am a bit nervous at the moment because after work I have to travel from the Docklands to Euston which involves using the routes affected by yesterdays events but I feel like its my duty to make that journey and stick to fingers up to those scumbags.
