One of the funniest things during this war is the appearances of Iraqi Information (sic) Minister Mohammad Said al-Sahhaf. His soundbites are superb and while the US troops were standing outside the Ministry of Information building, in Baghdad, he said: "Don't believe these invaders and these liars. There are none of their troops in Baghdad." He added that "our heroic forces have killed hundreds" of American soldiers who entered the Dora neighbourhood in the north of the capital. In smiling, defiant mood, al-Sahhaf said: "We killed them, we made them drink poison and taught them a lesson that history will never forget." Absolutely hilarious, maybe we should employ him as Simon Jordan's spokesman?

I'm glad it's not just me that's amused by this guy. I loved the one when he said that the Americans would be met with a hail of bullets... and shoes. Shoes??? The man is a genius.

He's a comedian. Look at him closely when he talks. There is always a slight smirk om his face. He's just the village idiot, nothing to do with Iraqi government. He saw a chance and went for it, and now he's playing it for all it's worth. He'll appear as a stand up comic somewhere after the war.
