Danny Butterfield
Grimsby Town right back-turned-midfielder Danny Butterfield will be Trevor Francis' first signing of the summer.
The official Grimsby Town website reports that he is speaking to Palace officials today, and subject to a medical, will be signing on the dotted line.
He originally started out as a fullback, but was switched to midfield and is currently out of contract, so will cost Palace nothing.
The 22-year-old has played for the Mariners 124 times and has scored three goals in his five-year spell at the club.
