Clinton Morrison
Clinton Morrison today said that he is keen to re-join Steve Bruce and sign for Birmingham City.
Andrew Johnson or Tommy Mooney are believed to be wanted by Palace in part-exchange.
Morrison said: "I do want to play in the Premiership. It'll be hard to leave Palace, but it's looking increasingly likely I'll have to make a decision soon.
"If the two clubs agree a fee, I'll talk to Birmingham. Then if I agree personal terms I'll sign. I think the two clubs are close to agreeing a fee.
"Steve Bruce is one of the best managers I've worked with and I feel I played well under him."
Questions have to be asked about why Palace are willing to sell their top goalscorer to Birmingham of all people.
Why would Simon Jordan give one of his worst enemies in Steve Bruce his best player for £5m – as some would argue is pretty cheap?
Are Palace in financial troubles and in deseperate need of the cash? If Morrison does go, the Eagles will definitely struggle in the First Division next season.
