Gregg Berhalter
Gregg Berhalter has signed for Energie Cottbus from the German Bundesliga.
The defender has agreed personal terms and trained with them yesterday (Wednesday).
The deal is expected to be completed by the end of the week. A move to Greek side Iraklis fell through in June.
After impressing for the USA in the World Cup, Trevor Francis still felt Berhalter was not good enough for the team.
Berhalter put in many decent performances since signing last year and was the first Palace player to play in a World Cup finals.
He was disgracefully overlooked during Palace's injury problems in defence last season and we wish Gregg the best of luck in the future.
