On loan players Stuart Taylor and Paul Kitson will return to Alan Smith's side for the away game at Preston North End on Saturday.
Both players had to miss last Tuesday's cup clash with Burnley because their clubs do not want them to be cup tied.
Richard Harris and goalkeeper Alex Kolinko will be left out of the team at Deepdale.
Alan Smith has worries over Clinton Morrison, Leon KcKenzie and Mikael Forssell, who have all been under treatment for the past few days, but expects them to be fit in time.
Jamie Smith returns to the squad after an injury, while Kitson will try to get off the mark in his third game for the Eagles.
Skipper Neil Ruddock will play his last game before serving a suspension after his sending off in the game against Sheffield United.
