Dougie faces lengthy layoff

Dougie Freedman has received the devastating news that he could be sidelined for up to 12 weeks.

Freedman picked up a groin injury during the first half of the Worthington Cup match against Coventry at the beginning of November, and has since been sidelined.

He visited a specialist on Thursday, and was told that he required surgery on his troublesome groin.

Having surgery would put him out of the game between 4-12 weeks.
