Tommy Black

Tommy Black said he wants to sign a new contract and finish his playing days at Crystal Palace.

Black's contract ends in the summer and he could be shown the door as Simon Jordan bids to cut costs at the club.

But Black told the Croydon Guardian: "I want to stay at Crystal Palace for the remainder of my career.

"I am a London boy, I want to stay here and take Palace into the Premiership. I do not want to miss that.

"I am hoping it will be before the summer because I'd rather not have to play with the threat of not knowing what's going to happen.

"It is something I'd like to get out of the way so when the club's ready, I am all ears."
