Happy Christmas
Yo, ho, ho, ho...Yo, ho, ho, ho. Santa Jamesey brings seasonal greetings to all Eagles, fledgling, mature, local and far-away
Christmas blessings to one and all, as we approach the festive celebrations for 2002. Just imagine I am not my normal self but a rather old bloke, with a red face and grey facial and cranial hair (Not an enormous stretch of the imagination - Ed).
Wearing my red garb, fringed with blue I am sitting in my grotto, enjoying the Rotherham result enormously.
Family obligations prevented me from going to the game (No, said the Missus, we've got too much to do) but all the feedback from you faithful heroes looks good.
Tommy and Julian seem to be on the rise again. It's a shame that after a double scoop from the Arse in 2000 it has taken such a long time for those two lads to prove how good they really are to various managers when we all knew it ourselves.
Well, we could be in the play-off area by Jan 1...two home wins against Preston and Coventry...but not all that confident about Pompey on Boxing Day.
A few festive songs to sing when you go to your church services on Christmas Eve/Day:
It's Lovely Weather for A Slay Ride Together with You (train from New Cross to London Bridge after Palace victory);
Always Look on the Brighton Side of Life (OK, not strictly Christmas, but had to get it in);
I'm Dreaming of a Sh1te Christmas (customary Palace feeling but maybe not at the moment);
The Jolly and the Stevie (groan, all right, it's getting more difficult);
Oh Scumwall, ye Hateful, Joyful and Triumphant (in memory of a certain game in early-December);
All I want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth (in tribute to the once-great David Hopkin).
